This is what I am building to help Founders, Operators and the people who make software.

I'm documenting what I know for 5-10 minutes each.

This is the structure I am using to create a map of ecommerce operations.

The processes, technology and the roles of the people who use them:

500+ Ecommerce tools.
420+ Operational processes.
20 Operating models e.g. Pre-Orders and Verticals
15 Operational Functions.
10 key leadership roles.

Each is mapped against the other.

What do you need to think about when you outsource to a 3PL?

What systems should I consider if I launch pre-orders?

When we open a second warehouse, what new complexities will we face?

If I were the Head of Operations for a cosmetics company, how will this be different from running a fashion brand?

What does a warehouse management system do?

I'm using a practice called Lazy Discipline.

I never sit down and block out time to make progress on this skyscraper-sized task. But I take a bite each day. A bit of help from Airtable automation and tools too.

What questions would you like this to be able to help answer? Does anything sound particularly interesting?

Please, let me know any feedback or ideas.

- Thanks, Oliver
